How to scale a family recipe

Divide the number of portions you need by the original yield. Multiply scalable ingredient quantities by that factor.

Use the recipe controls

Our recipe cards let you adjust servings or scale around one ingredient. Fixed and to-taste ingredients keep their original quantities, so review those yourself.

Check the method again

A larger quantity may need extra trays, a wider pan or several batches. Cooking temperatures and times do not multiply in the same way as ingredients.
